That's a hilarious serie, I actually watched it in english and it helped me to improve It's kind of like FRIENDS, but better. And funny. And it's absolutely a must-see, every episode is amazing. The serie ended a few years ago with 10 seasons (if I remember right), and it's probably the most famous serie ever. A true classic. You need to watch it !!

You want to watch it without subtitles? Without them I think so because they speak really fast and there is a lot of puns. I don't know what is the thing about How I met but when I think about the characters and their relations I almost want to cry ^^ They are so endearing! But I know people who tried and didn't like it because of the laughs and maybe jokes that they don't understand.
And you know what? I don't like to speak english because it's so annoying trying to make itself understandable and clear and not manage to do it. The bad new? I'm in Poland for a year and I don't speak Polish...

I'm in Torun, a really beautiful city near Poznan I haven't met a lot of Polish people yet but this is true that they are very kind and sympathetic!
And you, how long do you think you will stay in London? Is it permanent?

Hello ! My english teacher demanded us to write a short story in english, so what do you think of this one ?
In the deepest deep of the ocean was dozing a huge monster. Covered by thorns. White and blind. Everyone on Earth was afraid of him, and nobody risked himself to take the sea. Therefore, all the humans stayed on their territories, shuddered of the return of this monster, who, seven years ago had swum out of the sea and slaughtered ten thousand men, women and babies. But, in the heart of four children, the wish to beat the beast was growing up year by year. One day, in the spring, they made a boat. Out of fearthers and out of bones. They took the sea and nobody has seen them since.
Far away, encouraged by the rythm of the drum, wind in the hair, feet deeply rooted in the wood of the boat, the four children were running ahead their destiny...
you're next ! Write the sequel of the story ! (in english, obviously )

Oh, I see that your suggestion did not get a lot of enthusiasm around here
It's an old post, but since I like writing in english, I thought I would give it a try. I cheat a bit, I work and live in English. Maybe it will help relaunch it?
When I was living in France, the concept of "veganism" was totally inexistent to me. I mean, the country of cheese, charcuterie and good old meat cooked in sauces... Add to the whole thing that I grew up in an immigrant family, who barely could feed themselves when they were young... You picture the idea.
Now that I'm grown up and live by myself, educate myself about ecology and the challenges our world is facing, veganism makes more sense to me. I have the chance to live in a city where restaurants and vegan places are numerous, so making the transition to less meaty meals was not strange. A lot of my friends here are either vegetarians or vegans.
That being said... I still think veganism is not necessarily THE answer to the problem of this world. And that it's a very white/European/wealthy centered problem. There are many countries in this world where people can't barely feed themselves. Even just in France, Europe, etc. So I don't see why some people shame them when they can finally eat something, even if it's meat. (unfortunately, I witnessed stupid people making generalizations, the kind of extremism that makes you cringe and bleed internally!).
In my opinion, the real problem is mass production and intensive farming. With responsible agriculture and reasonable meat consumption, animals would be treated in a better way. I see my family in Madagascar. They love their animals, and there is this ritual of thanking them for helping them provide for the well-being of the family. On the other hand, veganism created different types of problems that are often overlooked. Generally, because we are not on the wrong receiving side of the stick. Did you know that forests and areas are burnt to create more fields in third-world countries? It is at the expanse of the biodiversity, and just to provide enough for the consumption of the wealthiest countries. The avocado, quinoa etc. use exploded with the democratization of veganism and "healthier" alternatives, and it affects third-world countries first.
Personally, I try to live a life more respectful of the environment, making smarter choices on what I buy and where I buy it. But no, I'm not fully vegan. I just eat less meat (the human body is not made to eat more than a certain amount of meat anyway). I have nothing against veganism except those elements explained above

I can't agree more on the fact that veganism is a wealthy centered issue, nowadays more than ever, there's just one exception though : in Asia (and more specificly in India I think) very few people eat meat and fish (at least during the last decades), considered as "poison for the body".
I personnally am vegetarian for 3 years now (or more ? I honestly can't remember) and I feel that this is the right way for me to eat. Well, I still eat eggs and milk (way less often) so I don't think I will ever be a vegan myself, but being vegetarian is perfect for me

It might be true for India, but I think China has a very meat-based alimentation, and Japan consumes a lot of seafood.
Anyway, I'm glad to know that you have continued in the path of vegetarianism and you still feel concerned about it

What to choose...
i'm ready to lose my liberty, In exange for a cup of cofee, Once upon a time in my life, As sharp as a bloody knife...
What would be worst for me, I don't know what to choose !
As if that wasn't enough, Leaving me alone in doubt, As if i was no longer, Maybe it's so much better...
What would be worst for me, I don't know what to choose !
But the sky says fly away, And the earth near you to stay, From one to another, Whatever the order...
What would be worst for me, I don't know what to choose !
Twenty-one march two thousand twenty-one, The night's finally coming to an end, Moon will never kiss the sun in the sky, And we will never do the same again...
What would be worst for me, I don't know what to choose !
Gone are the days of glory, Alone in front of mirrors, Looking for what is hidden there, As if we could find somethind there...
What would be worst for me, I don't know what to choose !
